Welcome to Jamba, an African marimba band in the Columbia River Gorge.
Our primary inspiration and influence comes from the music of the Shona peoples of Zimbabwe, in southern Africa. We also play music from the Caribbean islands and other parts of the world.
With a full set of seven marimbas – from sopranos to a huge bass – we perform at fairs and festivals through-out the Gorge: from Hood River to Parkdale, from White Salmon and Bingen to Stevenson, Troutlake, and Maryhill.
Our music is infectiously happy; great for dancing and for lifting spirits, perfect for livening up any festival with joyful energy, rhythm and sound.
Give us a call. We’d love to play for you. To tell the truth, we just love to play!
